About the event
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training designed to help adults better support young people ages 12 to 18. Participants learn how to recognize the signs of a mental health or substance use challenge, respond in a practical and compassionate way, and connect youth to the right support before a situation becomes a crisis.
This course is ideal for parents, caregivers, teachers, school staff, youth pastors, mentors, coaches, and community leaders who want to make a greater impact in the lives of young people. The training helps reduce stigma, strengthen confidence in difficult conversations, and build safer, more supportive schools, churches, and communities.
The course includes a 2-hour self-paced pre-course and 5.5 hours of live instruction. Most participants prefer the in-person format, but online options may also be available. If your organization wants to be better prepared to support youth mental health, this training is a powerful place…
